Getting Started with DataMapper

  • Download package file from here
  • Double-click the .OL-package file to open it.
  • Switch to the OLSG-Invoice [txt] tab to see the data mapping configuration
  • Take a look at the Settings pane to see the kind of configuration required for this type of file:
  • Input section to specify how each text page is separated (Formfeed or number of lines, can be other things too like text located, etc), as well as encoding settings.
  • Boundaries specify what makes a single record: all the data required for one specific document.
  • Take a look at the Steps pane to see the different steps required to create a transactional record (click on them to see more details):
  • Initial Extract step for invoice information. Extracted fields are highlighted in the Data Viewer, and in the Data Model pane indicating which are affected by this step.
  • Goto step to jump to the beginning of the detail lines. An arrow left of the data in the Data Viewer indicates where the jump happens.
  • Loop to go through each line. Loop icons appear to the left of each line affected by the loop.
  • Condition that removes non-detail lines. A red X or green checkmark to the left of each line in the loop indicate whether the condition is true or false.
  • An Extraction of each proper line.
  • A last Extraction after the loop for the totals.
  • Navigate through records using the navigation controls at the top, and in each record, navigate through the detail lines within the record itself.
  • Click on a field to see its properties in the Steps Properties pane. In particular, the date fields: the options specify how the date is read, rather than how it’s displayed.
